Why convert PNG to ICO
Browser tabs, bookmarks, desktop shortcuts and phone home screens all read different sizes out of the same ICO file. Packing every size once is far less hassle than discovering later that the small icon is a smudge.
When ICO is the right choice

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to upload my images?
No. The conversion runs entirely inside your browser, so your files never leave the device — which means contracts, ID scans and client material are all fine to process here. You can even disconnect from the network first; the tool keeps working.
Does converting PNG to ICO reduce quality?
Quality is preserved, but ICO caps out at 256×256 and is forced square. It is an icon format, not a replacement for a full-size image.
Can I convert in bulk? Is there a file size limit?
Yes, and effectively no. Because nothing is uploaded there is no server-side size cap — drop in as many files as you like. The only limit is your own memory; images above 120 megapixels are scaled down automatically.
